The Forum on Education Abroad
ASU is a proud institutional member of the Forum on Education Abroad, an organization focused on developing and implementing standards of good practice, encouraging and supporting research initiatives, and offering educational programs and resources to its members. The organization establishes quality assurance programs, improves education abroad curricula, and promotes data collection and assessment, all to advocate for high-quality education abroad programs.
Generation Study Abroad
ASU is proud of our commitment to Generation Study Abroad, a five-year initiative of the Institute of International Education (IIE) to mobilize industry resources with the goal of doubling the number of U.S. students studying abroad by 2020. IIE is investing $2 million in the initiative and is seeking funds to provide scholarships to college and high school students as well as grants to institutions.
The Diversity Abroad Network
The ASU Study Abroad Office is proud to be a member institution of The Diversity Abroad Network, the leading professional consortium of higher education institutions, government agencies, and for-profit and non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing diversity and equity in international education.
NAFSA: Association of International Educators
Many ASU Study Abroad Office staff members are individual members of NAFSA, the world's largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education and exchange, and some hold volunteer leadership roles within the national organization or its regional branches. Individual membership provides international education professionals with access to industry resources, best practices, leaders in international education, potential partners, and professional development opportunities.
