Confirmed Students

Summer, Fall and Academic Year Programs

All students studying abroad on an ASU Global Education program are required to complete an online pre-departure orientation. Those details are listed in your online application.

Partnership & Exchange Programs - Global Education Meet & Greet

In addition to the required online orientation, we are happy to host an optional in-person pre-departure Meet & Greet session.

The purpose of this session is an informal meeting with Global Education alumni, international students currently attending ASU and other ASU Global Education students going to your region/country to make connections and get advice.

Registration information will be emailed to all confirmed students going on partnership or exchange programs. Please check your email to RSVP for this event.

If you are unable to attend (i.e., you're an ASU Online student or have prior commitments), each International Coordinator will send out a survey to provide you with a way to connect virtually with other students participating in a Global Education program in the same country.

Faculty-Led Programs – Individual Orientation Sessions

In addition to the required online orientation, all ASU Global Education programs led by ASU faculty will have in-person orientation sessions to prepare you for your specific program. If you have questions about when your orientation will be held, please contact your Faculty Director(s).

Support from Home Sessions

We also recognize that your parent(s), guardian(s), loved one(s) may have questions about your involvement in your upcoming Global Education program and accordingly, we will be hosting sessions for family and friends of students who will be studying abroad on an upcoming program.

The presentation will cover general financial information, health and safety matters and how your family and friends might communicate with and support you while you’re abroad. The presentation will be delivered via Zoom, a free online videoconferencing platform. As the sessions will be at different times based on your program type, you will receive additional information, as well as an RSVP via email from the Global Education Office. We do hope that you will share this information with your parent(s) or guardian(s) so that they may attend.
