Enrollment Statistics

There is a continual increase in the number of ASU students who study abroad and participate in our over 250 programs in more than 65 different countries spanning all seven continents.

During the 2016-2017 academic year, 2,414 students studied abroad, ranking ASU nationally as the #10 institution for awarding credit for study abroad (Institution of International Education, 2018). A detailed breakdown of this figure is noted in the report linked below.

Outpacing the national average, 37% of ASU students studying abroad in 2016–17 identified as racially or ethnically diverse, including 21 percent identifying as Hispanic or Latino/a. Read more about the Study Abroad Office's efforts and its place in the national landscape of study abroad in this ASU Now article.
