Congratulations on taking the first step towards studying abroad through the ASU Study Abroad Office! The steps outlined on this page will help guide you through the process of choosing and applying to an ASU study abroad program.
Attend Study Abroad 101
This information session, led by a Study Abroad Student Recruiter, covers all the basic information on program types, eligibility, housing, finances, searching for and choosing a program, and the application process. Sessions are held several times a week. Discover times and locations.
View our Choosing a Program Resources
Selecting the best academic program for you is extremely important. This resource provides tips on what to consider when choosing a program.
The Study Abroad Office offers five types of programs: Global Intensive Experience, Exchange, Partnership, Faculty-Directed and Internships. View the details about each program type and search programs based on your interests. The program brochure for each program lists all the program details including eligibility, courses, housing and program fees.
Make an Appointment with an International Coordinator
Once you know which program(s) you are interested in, our International Coordinators are available to assist you. Each International Coordinator specializes in different programs and regions, so check your program’s brochure page or our appointment page to find the appropriate Coordinator and the process for making an appointment. If you have basic questions or have not chosen a program yet, Study Abroad Peer Advisors are available to guide you in our office, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (480) 965-5965.
After you have selected a program, apply online by the program application deadline by clicking ‘Apply Now’ on the program brochure page.
